Jake Leishman, Director of Training, will be speaking on a panel about "The Acquisition Process - Addressing COI - Understanding Conflicts of Interest and their impacts to you in the Acquisition Process" at the 2011 Small Business Conference. The discussion will be held from 1:15 PM to 2:30 PM on Thursday, April 7 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The topics of the discussion will include:

  • What is a COI? How do I know if I might have a conflict?
  • Do I need to put in a COI program for my company now? What should it include?
  • I'm doing related work today in a support role as a subcontractor. If I bid as a sub on a team, am I still conflicted?
  • Can I go to the Government to ask whether we have a COI? How do I do that? When should I do that?

Centre Obtains $3.3 Million Verdict for Subcontractor in Indirect Rate Dispute

December 20, 2010

VIENNA, Va. – December 20, 2010 – Last Wednesday, December 15, Eric Crusius, Esq. from Centre Law Group LLC obtained a verdict in Virginia's Fairfax Circuit Court of more than $2.8 million dollars plus interest. Centre represented Thomas Computer Solutions, LLC ("TCS") a subcontractor against prime contractor, L-3 Services and L-3 Communications Corporation ("L-3"). This verdict is one of the ten largest reported verdicts in Virginia this year and the fourth largest verdict involving business claims.

William K. Olivier has joined Centre Law LLC, bringing more than 25 years’ experience as a trial and appellate attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice. At DOJ, Mr Olivier served as lead counsel on ten trials, all of which were victories, and litigated hundreds of cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Centre Consulting Wins Five-year Contract to Provide Conflict Management Services to the U.S. Department of the Interior

Carole Houk International (CHI), an operating division of Centre Consulting, Inc., has been awarded a five-year blanket purchase agreement to provide conflict management and associated support to the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI). Specifically, Centre's CHI division will support DOI's Office of Collaborative Action and Dispute Resolution in its implementation of the CORE PLUS program, a DOI-wide integrated conflict management system that emphasizes cooperative problem-solving techniques such as training, mediation, facilitation, conflict coaching, ombuds services, and alternative dispute resolution.

Centre Federal Wins Twenty-Four Million Dollar Air Force NSPS Training Contract

July 13, 2006

Vienna, Virginia. Centre Federal was recently awarded a $24.8 million dollar Air Force contract to train supervisors charged with implementing the National Security Personnel System (NSPS). Centre recruits and trains the trainers, prepares and ships the courseware, and coordinates and performs all logistics in order to ensure a successful training event.
