Centre’s President Barbara Kinosky, Esq. participated today in a luncheon panel discussion called “Women in Government Contracting: Shattering Ceilings, Creating Success” organized by the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce. Barbara joined a group of distinguished experts in government contracting who brought a wealth of personal experience in building successful businesses and inspiring careers in government service to over 75 participants in this Chamber event. Other panelists included Gwendolyn Sykes, Chief Financial Officer at the U.S. Secret Service and Kimberly Hayes, CEO and co-founder of The Ambit Group. Kimberly Suiters of WNEW/CBS Radio was the moderator.
Barbara joined other women entrepreneurs in discussing best practices and tips for women to succeed in a very competitive environment of government contracting. They were praising a recent addition of woman-owned small business (WOSB) category to the list of businesses eligible for government contract set-asides. Barbara also shared some of her personal experiences establishing Centre Consulting in 2002 and growing the company into a successful, thriving business.
